Creating Text Message Surveys that Expire - Mosio's Unresponsive Participant Actions (UPAs)
FollowIf you want to limit the time a text message survey is available, you can use Unresponsive Participant Actions (nudges) to stop a survey from collecting data by marking it Complete for a participant.
Let's say you want a survey to expire 30 minutes after the first survey question has been sent...
- Scroll to the bottom of the survey you want to add an UPA or nudge to.
- Under Hours, put .5 (half an hour) and then choose Complete. That survey for that participant will not accept any more data. Any texts sent to the survey after that will be sent as a TextChat.
- Because any message sent to an expired survey will show up as a TextChat message, it may benefit you to encourage the participant not to reply, so you can.
- Create an Alert action at .5 Hours that says "This survey is closed, please do not respond."
- Create a Complete action at .51 hours that marks it as complete.
