SMS Surveys for Research Studies: Mosio Survey Dashboard Overview
FollowCollecting participant-reported outcomes via text message is one of the most effective ways to gather real-time data in clinical research. Mosio's SMS survey platform lets research teams create, send, and monitor text message surveys — supporting ePRO (electronic patient-reported outcomes), ecological momentary assessment, and other data collection needs without requiring participants to download an app. This guide walks through the Mosio survey dashboard, including the reporting navbar, send controls, question controls, and editing functions.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How do SMS surveys work for clinical research data collection?
A: Mosio sends survey questions to participants via text message. Participants respond by texting back their answers. The system supports multiple question types, validates responses, and can send nudges to participants who haven't completed the survey. All responses are available in real-time reports and CSV exports.
Q: Can I use Mosio for ePRO (electronic patient-reported outcomes)?
A: Yes. Mosio's text message surveys are well-suited for ePRO data collection. Participants answer survey questions via SMS on their own phones — no app download or special device required — making it easy to capture patient-reported outcomes in real-world settings.
Q: What reporting options are available for SMS survey data?
A: Mosio provides multiple reporting views including a User Overview showing all participant statuses and results, graphical reports of answer distributions, and several CSV export options — including all responses, last-30-day responses, and single-row exports for easy analysis.
Q: Can I control when surveys are sent to participants?
A: Yes. The survey dashboard includes send controls that let you manage survey delivery. You can also configure nudges — automated follow-up messages sent to participants who have not responded within a set time period — to improve completion rates.
