Advanced: Send Storyline Messages (or Text Message Surveys) at Randomized Times
FollowIn some research studies (behavioral research, for example), sending messages at random times can improve participant engagement or reduce response bias. Mosio makes this easy with flexible scheduling options in Storylines. This guide will show you how to configure your messages to be delivered at randomly selected times within specified time windows, helping you maintain variability while staying within study protocol limits.
Great for EMA (Ecological Momentary Assessment) text message surveys, this is an Advanced Configuration, so be sure and test things well before going live.

Storyline Delays
The delay starts from the schedule time configured in the Storyline message. A random delay of 3600 seconds (1 hour) scheduled at 9am will send between 9am and 10am, local to the timezone setting associated with your specific project.
