Text History - Delivery Status Codes
1. Overview
When you view Text History Reports in the Mosio application, Delivery Status Codes are included in the "Status" column. There are several codes that carriers use to describe SMS delivery status, the most common codes are found below.
Carrier Received is the status you should see most often - this is a successful delivery. Any other status signifies a bounced text. Texts bounce either because the phone number is invalid, the phone cannot receive texts, or the messages are being blocked by the carrier for 10DLC or spam issues.

Incoming SMS

| 1 | Success | Successfully processed by Mosio |
| 2 | Error | Error in incoming message |
Successful Outgoing SMS Delivery
| Code | Status | Description |
| 40 | Carrier Received | Carrier accepted the message for delivery. This message may represent the last available status from a carrier. |
| 100 | Message accepted for delivery | Message accepted for delivery by the aggregator. |
| 200 | Carrier Success | Carrier indicates successful delivery of message to the mobile device. Not specified by all carriers. |
SMS Delivery Failure
| Code | Status | Description |
| 15 | No Send | Send will not occur for this recipient due to inclusion on a no-send list or similar rule. |
| 27 | Absent Subscriber | The destination number was unreachable, powered off, or in an area with limited coverage. Ensure the subscriber's device is turned on and has a stable network connection. |
| 30 | Retry | Message queued for retry (only applicable if receiving status receipts as well). |
| 32 | SMS Delivery Failure | Indicates a failure in delivering an SMS to the recipient, possibly due to unavailability, memory capacity issues, or temporary communication issues. |
| 110 | Fail | Carrier returned a failure to deliver the message. |
| 129 | Carrier Cannot Be Resolved | Cannot resolve carrier. |
| 210 | Carrier Manual Ack | Response of manual ack from carrier. |
| 250 | Carrier Expired | Default period for the SMSC passed without successful message delivery (typically 72 hours). This status occurs with the mobile device remains out of coverage or remains turned off for an extended period of time. |
| 270 | Carrier Undeliverable | Cannot deliver message. This status may occur because some SMSCs will accept messages for recipients they do not own due to data roaming agreements, but the SMSCs cannot deliver the message for a variety of reasons. This status typically occurs for SMSCs outside of the United States where data roaming typically occurs. |
| 290 | Carrier Rejected | This status typically occurs when data-roaming carriers rejects the particular message. |
| 351 | Invalid destination address | The mobile number has been deactivated, or number belongs to a prepaid user who does not have enough credit to receive a message, or end user is not provisioned to receive a message from all short codes (T-Mobile) |
| 375 | Texting Number is Blocked | Texting number blocked likely due to a 10DLC issue, such as not assigned to a valid campaign id. |
| 429 | Queue Full | Queue Full |
| 500 | SMS Provider Application Error | SMS Provider Application Error |
| 555 | Test Message Sent | Message sent to Mosio test (555) phone number |
| 568 | Destination address not provisioned for SMS | Destination address not provisioned for SMS |
| 581 | User out of credit | The end user is out of prepaid credit and cannot receive the message. |
| 720 | Invalid Destination Address | Invalid Destination Address |
| 998 | Invalid phone number | Invalid request. Please specify a recipient parameter with a validly formatted E164 phone number. |
| 4001 | Message was rejected for reasons other than those covered by other 4xxx codes | Message was rejected for reasons other than those covered by other 4xxx codes |
| 4100 | Message expired | The request was received, but has not been sent to the next instance within its validity period and has expired |
| 4103 | Rejected - flooding filter | Flooding filter: too many messages to the same destination |
| 4121 | Rejected as SPAM | Rejected as SPAM |
| 4301 | Malformed message encoding | Malformed message encoding |
| 4360 | Message expired | Message was not sent because the specified expiration date passed before the message was able to send |
| 4432 | Messaging to country forbidden | Messaging to country forbidden |
| 4700 | Carrier Rejected as Invalid Service Type | Carrier Rejected as Invalid Service Type |
| 4702 | Destination subscriber is unavailable | Destination subscriber is unavailable. There are several reasons for this; the subscriber has turned off handset, the destination is unreachable or barred, the GSM subscriber is busy for outbound SMS, or cannot reach the destination handset, etc. |
| 4720 | Carrier Rejected as Invalid Destination Address | Likely a wrong number, landline, voip, or other line that does not support sms. |
| 4730 | No Route To Destination Carrier | No Route To Destination Carrier |
| 4750 | Carrier Rejected Message | Carrier Rejected Message |
| 4753 | Destination Handset Rejected Message | The destination handset has rejected the message (typically Verizon) |
| 4771 | Rejected due to shortened url | There was an error with the shortened URL used. Recommend customers obtain their own dedicated domain if shortened links are needed for their messaging campaign. |
| 4775 | Carrier Rejected due to user opt out | Carrier Rejected due to user opt out |
| 4781 | P2P Volume Violation | Destination ATT rejected due to volumetric violation |
| 4795 | Toll Free number is not verified | The message was blocked due to the toll free number not being verified. This can also be because there is SPAM on the unverified TFN. Please review unverified sending limits and submit TFN for verification as soon as possible. |
| 5620 | Carrier Application Error | Carrier Application Error |
| 5650 | Carrier Service Failure | Carrier Service Failure |
| 9999 | Unknown error from downstream. Carrier reported a failure code that is unknown to Bandwidth. | Unknown error from downstream. Carrier reported a failure code that is unknown to Bandwidth. |

| 12300 | Invalid content-type | Twilio is unable to process the Content-Type of the provided URL |

| 20503 | SMS Aggregator service unavailable, try again | SMS Aggregator service unavailable, try again |
| 21211 | Invalid phone number | The To number is not a valid phone number. |
| 21408 | Cannot send to region | Permission to send an SMS has not been enabled for the region indicated by the To number. |
| 21606 | The From phone number provided is not valid | The From phone number provided is not a valid message-capable Twilio phone number. |
| 21610 | User has opted out on this number | The message From/To pair violates a blacklist rule. User has texted in stop, and needs to text start. |
| 21612 | Phone not reachable from this number | The 'To' phone number is not currently reachable using the 'From' phone number |
| 21614 | Not a mobile number | The To number is not a mobile number. |
| 21617 | Message exceeds 1600 characters | The message body exceeds the 1600 character limit, some glyphs such as Emoji, Emoticons or other special characters will be counted as multiple |
| 21621 | The From number has not been enabled for MMS messaging | The From number has not been enabled for MMS messaging |
| 21635 | The To number provided is a landline number. |

| 30003 | Unreachable destination handset | The destination handset you are trying to reach is switched off or otherwise unavailable. |
| 30004 | Message blocked | The destination number is blocked from receiving this message (e.g., due to blacklisting), or does not have sufficient signal, or cannot receive SMS. |
| 30005 | Unknown destination handset | The destination number you are trying to reach is unknown and may no longer exist. |
| 30006 | Landline or unreachable carrier | The destination number is unable to receive this message. Potential reasons could include trying to reach a landline or an unreachable carrier. |
| 30007 | Carrier violation | Your message was flagged as objectionable by the carrier. In order to protect their subscribers, many carriers have implemented content or spam filtering. |
| 30008 | Unknown Error | Message Delivery - Unknown error |
| 30011 | MMS not supported by receiving phone | MMS not supported by the receiving phone number in this region |
| 30017 | Carrier network congestion | Downstream carrier is experiencing performance issues due to high traffic. Please retry message. |
| 30019 | Content size exceeds carrier limit | Message failed because the size of the content associated with the message exceeded carrier limit |
| 30024 | Numeric Sender ID Not Provisioned on Carrier | Provisioning Issue with Carrier. You sent a message to a mobile number in a country that requires Numeric Sender ID pre-registration and provisioning. The Numeric Sender ID is not currently provisioned with the carrier. |
| 30034 | 10DLC - Message from an Unregistered Number | Messages sent to US numbers will not be delivered if they are sent from numbers that are not associated with an approved A2P 10DLC Campaign. |
| 30410 | Provider Timeout Error | The provider used may be experiencing disruptions resulting in errors or request timeouts. Messages are failed and not retried to avoid duplicate message delivery. |
