REDCap supports exporting data in several formats, including CSV (the most widely usable), as well as versions optimized for statistical software like SPSS, SAS, R, and Stata. CSV is the best option if you're working with tools like Excel, Google Sheets, or external platforms like Mosio.
Privacy Options When Exporting
When exporting data, REDCap gives you several options to protect participant privacy:
- Remove identifier fields
- Hash the Record ID field (useful if your Record IDs contain identifiable information)
- Remove free-text fields
- Remove date and time fields
- Remove survey timestamps
