Randora: a Free Randomization Tool for Research Studies
FollowRandora is a free, web-based randomization tool built by Mosio for researchers who need to generate randomization sequences for their studies. It's available at www.randora.org; no account, login, or installation required.
What Randora Does
Randora lets you create randomization sequences using five methods, each with configurable parameters:
- Simple Random — basic random assignment
- Block Randomization — balanced assignment within fixed-size blocks
- Stratified Randomization — randomization within defined strata
- MTI Clinical — minimization for clinical trial designs
- Covariate-Based Balancing — balancing across multiple covariates
Key Features
- REDCap-Compatible Export — Download CSV files formatted for direct import into REDCap's randomization module.
- Built-In Balance Verification — Automated balance checks with quality ratings and recommendations when imbalance is detected.
- Reproducible Results — Optional random seed lets you reproduce identical randomization sequences for audit and verification purposes.
- No Account Required — Fully functional with no sign-up, no login, and no data stored between sessions.
- Privacy by Design — Randora does not collect, store, or transmit participant data. All processing occurs in your browser.
Getting Started
- Go to www.randora.org
- Select your randomization method
- Configure your parameters (number of participants, arms, block sizes, etc.)
- Generate your sequence
- Download as CSV (REDCap-ready) or copy your results
Requirements
Randora is optimized for desktop browsers. No software installation or download is needed.
Important: Randora is a research support tool. All randomization outputs should be reviewed and validated by your study team or statistician before use in a live study. Mosio does not guarantee suitability for any specific research protocol.
